Under Waters: An Atlas of Buried Rivers is an upcoming collection of articles and artworks about the parking lots, roads, fields, and neighborhoods that used to be waterways. It unites community advocates, architects, farmers, artists and others to trace the histories of old riverine ecologies and chronicle recent efforts to “daylight” them. By mapping a hidden patchwork of water beneath our feet, the volume leaves us better readers of the once and future streams and creeks in the landscapes we know.
Contributions to this volume are by invitation only, but if you or someone you know works on this topic, don’t hesitate to let us know.
